We are living in difficult times and there may be some of you who may be feeling intimidated, finding it hard to speak up for yourselves or even understand your care and support. if you feel that this is you Real Talk Radio have an advocacy service that can help you by acting as a spokesperson for you.
Our advocates can help you:
- Stand up for your rights
- Make decisions
- Understand the care and support process
- Talk about how you feel about your care
- Challenge decisions about your care and support if you do not agree with them
They can also support you by writing letters for you and by attending meetings and legal courts hearings with you.
Our advocates will support you during:
- Safeguarding and reviews
- Care and support planning
If you feel you have no one in your life who can support you and you have difficulty with the any of the following:
Understanding and remembering information
communicating your thoughts, feelings or views
understanding the pros and cons and different options
We want to help you be heard. Our aim is to empower you to have a voice and to help you make a significant difference to your life.
The advocacy service, information and advice we provide is free, confidential and independent.
